Elleigh @ 7 Months Old — March 30,2012

Where does time go? Seriously?

At Elle’s shots on the 12th, she weighed in at 19 pounds. My little chunker. Yet, I think she only has 2 rolls…which are located on her legs.

She is finally tall enough for her jumperoo! She freaking loves that thing!

She also has 5 teeth. 2 on the bottom and 3 on top. She keeps spouting them buggers out of nowhere. She is not a cranky teether AT ALL. It makes Mommy and Daddy very happy lol.

We have started baby-led weaning. Elleigh will not take purees. She literally has a “wtf is this” look on her face when we give her them. She won’t even eat a banana because of the texture. However, baby-led weaning is going great, as it should, she is a good chewer with all them teeth.

Elle also has a pretty mean backwards army crawl. She can get from one room to another by going backwards or rolling. It’s scary.

I had my first terrible mommy moment. She fell off our bed. We co-sleep and I went up to go to the bathroom. While I was finishing, I heard a blood curdling scream. My baby fell off the 4-foot bed. Our bed is ridiculously high. I felt like such a bad mom but a head bruise and some cuddles later, Elle was fine.

Tommy got me an iPhone so I am going to do a Friday Photo Dump so be prepared. :D

Elleigh @ 6 Months Old — February 29th – March 1st?

Elleigh is as beautiful and as perfect as ever.

We have no idea how much she weighs or what her height is but she does have shots on March 12th so we will find out then!

Elleigh did a few cool things this month including:

Saying Mama on February 9th. She now says it whenever she needs me.

My Dad taught her Papa the same day and she hasn’t stopped saying it since.

We went a visited Auntie Nell and Uncle Scott, Auntie Desiree and Uncle Kaylor on February 3rd. It was great and loads of fun even if Mommy got sick.

Note to self: I have way too many bathing suits for Elleigh this summer.

The 6-month growth spurt happened on February 19th-21. It wasn’t too bad at all. I didn’t even mind staying up until 4 am cuddling this time.

Not too much to report this month. She is alot the same as last month but she CAN sit up unassisted. That happened literally yesterday.

22 Things To Do Before I Turn 22.

1. Enjoy Elleigh’s every moment — She is only going to be this age once. Every kiss, smile, and hug you better cherish.

2. Embrace your relationship with Janelle — She is your best friend turned sister. She is one of the best things to ever happen to you.

3. Accept life’s challenges with a smile and a positive outlook — you are not always positive, and it gets you nowhere. Optimism is important!

4. Go to school! It is one of your life goals. It is important to you. Even if it is not for what you wanted, educate yourself. You won’t regret it.

5. Tell Tommy you love and appreciate him more. He does a lot for you and Elleigh and you don’t always treat him the way you should.  Start showing it! It is never too late!

6. Get in shape. You always feel better when you have a little extra weight off you. Now is your time to start to show Elleigh a healthy and happy lifestyle choice. Cut out all the things that make you feel icky.

7. Be proud of what you have done. It might not have gone the way you have planned but you’re doing a damn good job at it!

8. Relax. Not everything happens just to stress you out. Everything will work itself out, just give it time.

9. Jump through the sprinkler in the summer. You know you love doing it!

10. Learn how to cook! You suck and you know it. Tommy and Elleigh would appreciate the effort at least!

11. Learn how to sew! You have always wanted to and how cute would making little clothes and diapers for Elleigh be?!

12. Go to the zoo! Why the hell not hey?!

13. Be there to touch the ocean with Tommy his first time. You still can’t believe he has never been. Missing out!

14. Plan you wedding. Completely. So what if you are not engaged yet? You have dreamed of this day…and it is only getting closer!

15. Get another tattoo. You love them so why not?

16. Buy a house! You and Tommy are going to work your hardest to get this and you WILL!

17. Decorate that house the way you have always wanted. Make it your home. Love it.

18. Bring the things you pin on pinterest to life!!! They are awesome!!

19. Throw Elleigh the most fabulous 1st Birthday party ever. Even if she won’t remember it!

20. Get Family Pictures done. They will be something you cherish forever.

Elleigh @ 5 Months Old — January 30, 2012.

What an exciting month! Elleigh has quickly becomes her own little person with her own little personality.

Things Elleigh loves:

- Kisses from everyone she knows!

- Her feet!

- Blowing raspberries and she has also included her tongue in them this time.

- Her papa. She also does a mean “papapapapapapapapa” for him.

- She also says “mamamamamamama”

- She loves to sit up! Where she is laying down, she will sit right up and then fall right back over. We have to work on balance.

- She loves to dance with Mommy.

- Skyping with Daddy while he is away.

-Swimming!!!

- Going to Ganny’s and having Ganny trying to feed her everything while Mommy promptly says “No!”

- Kitties!!!

Thing Elleigh Dislikes:

-Bathtime (unless Mommy baths with her, then it is alright).

- Having the boob taken away after biting (She cries, a lot).

- Being put down after bathtime. (She knows it is bedtime. She knows it should be boob then bedtime and if she gets put down without boob, all hell breaks loose.)

- Her shots. (Screamed the whole time, the nurse is no friend of Elleigh’s)

Milestones Elle hit this month:

Elleigh rolled over from Tummy to Back the first time on January 8th, 2012.

She cut her first tooth on January 25th, 2012.

Elle rolled from Back to Tummy the first time on January 29, 2012.

My little BooBoo is about 19 pounds now and about 25-25.5 inches long. She is growing so fast. Where did my newborn go!?

Elleigh’s 1st Christmas — December 25,2011

Elle slept through Christmas morning but she made up for it later with cuteness as you can see by this picture:

Elleigh @ 4 Months Old — December 30,2011

Well, this momma officially sucks at updating her baby’s blog. However, I have a few excuses including the fact that Christmas happened, Auntie Janelle was visiting for 2 whole weeks, and we are in the process of purchasing a new vehicle for our little family.

Now for an Elleigh update.

Elleigh is 17 pounds 13 oz and 25 inches long. My little chubster. SO. FREAKING. CUTE.  This weight change means we have to look into a new carseat so any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. I never thought I would be moving my baby out of her bucket seat by 6 months but I guess that is what has to happen.

Elleigh is still having lots of trouble pooping. I don’t think I actually mentioned this before but baby’s muscles just don’t work down there and it makes it very painful for her. We have been told she will “grow out of it” but we shall see. I wanted to at least start her on oatmeal at 6 months but if she is still having days where she is unable to poop it would be cruel to makes it thicker and even harder to get out.

Elleigh’s Christmas was wonderful. She was spoiled but it was a humble spoil. She slept through Christmas morning because this baby sleeps in until 2 pm sometimes because again, she is awesome. The rest of the day she was beautiful and quite the joy to be around. By 7 pm, Christmas was done and we headed home to retire for the night.

Elleigh’s first New Years Eve was spent with Auntie Janelle. It was awesome. We ate, we chatted, we had a blast. We love Auntie Janelle to bits and pieces. Elleigh even had her first Candy Cane.

Developmentally, Elleigh is excellent. She attempted to roll over all month but unfortunately hasn’t been able to. She will get onto her side and then suck her hands. She is getting there though.

Elleigh talks alot more and she even got a new voice where she shrieks for now apparent reason. It was annoying everyone around her by day 3. She thankfully stopped doing it so regularly by the time the week was over.

Oh oh…Elleigh went swimming for the first time this month!!!! It was SO MUCH FUN. She enjoyed it the whole time. We have gone 3 times and every time she falls asleep in the family hot tub at the end of our swim. She gets right exhausted but when she awakes, she is so happy and its as if she is thanking us for such a great time. Another question…is it wrong to nurse in the pool?? There was a time when Elleigh got hungry and I was contemplating it but I just don’t know pool ettiquette.
